How to Register Your Family for Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program?
The Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Riayat program aims to provide subsidized food items to deserving and underprivileged families across the province. The program is an extension of the federal Ehsaas initiative launched to provide social security and welfare to the masses.
Under the Rashan Riayat program, selected kiryana stores across Punjab will provide essential food items like flour, cooking oil, pulses, ghee etc. to registered beneficiaries at subsidized rates. By streamlining supply chains and onboarding a large network of participating stores, the government aims to ensure regular availability of quality food items for underprivileged segments.
Eligibility Criteria for Registration
To be eligible for registration under the Rashan Riayat program, following criteria has been set by the Punjab government:
- Family income less than Rs. 31,000 per month
- Own less than 4 acres of agricultural land
- Do not own a car manufactured in past 3 years
- House size less than 2 marlas
Additionally, families that have already been registered with the federal Ehsaas program will automatically qualify for Rashan Riayat registration in Punjab.
Documents Required for Registration
When visiting the designated registration center for enrollment, families are required to provide following documents:
- Original CNICs of both spouses
- B-Form or child registration certificate
- Rent agreement or utility bill as proof of residence
- Salary slip or affidavit declaring income

Step-by-Step Process to Register for Rashan Riayat
Registering your family for the Rashan Riayat program is quite straightforward. Simply follow these steps:
1. Locate nearest registration center
A list of designated registration centers has been provided on the Punjab Information Technology Board's official website. Alternatively, you can call helpline 1033 for guidance.
2. Visit center with required documents
Visit the nearest registration center along with your spouse and original copies of all mandatory documents mentioned earlier. Remember to carry the documents in a file or folder to avoid misplacement.
3. Fill registration form
The registration clerk will provide you with the prescribed registration form. Fill it carefully providing all essential details about your family including names, ages, CNIC details, contact information, income etc.
4. Document verification
The registration clerk will verify all your original documents and attest the copies. Your family details may also be checked through NADRA database for authenticity.
5. Submit registration fee
You have to submit a small registration fee of Rs. 250. This fee can be deposited in cash at the center. Collect the receipt of your payment.
6. Get registration slip
Upon successful verification, you will be provided with a registration slip containing the registration number. This registration number will be linked to your family ID and used for all future correspondence.
7. Receive SMS confirmation
Within 2-3 days of registration, you will receive an SMS notification on your provided mobile number confirming completion of your family's registration.
8. Collect smart ration card
After due verification process, you can collect the smart ration card from the respective registration center within 10-15 days. This personalized ration card will be used to avail subsidized groceries from assigned kiryana stores.
9. Locate nearby participating store
Using the program's mobile app or helpline, identify the nearest kiryana store enlisted in the program. You can now purchase subsidized flour, cooking oil, ghee, pulses etc. from this store.
10. Purchase using ration card
Show your smart ration card at the shop to purchase available commodities at subsidized rates. The discounted prices will reflect automatically in the bill.
